Approximate Timings

6.00pm Roundabout opens for younger children

6.15pm Morley and District Community Band perform a selection of Christmas carols

6.35pm Welcome Introduction from Morley Town Crier.

6.40pm Gildersome Primary and Birchfield Primary School sing.

7.00pm Introduction of ‘Special Guest’ to start the Countdown, followed by Firework Display.

Refreshments

  • BBQ,
  • Mulled Wine (Adults only) Donations to Children in Need. It would be brilliant to top last year’s donations of £140. Please be generous.
  • Refreshments stall

Special thanks go to

  • Adam Cousens of AC Secure, and his team for putting the lights up on the Christmas tree and replacing lots of lights on the trees along Town Street and on the Green.
  • Local builder Roger Bennett and his son, George, for helping to put up the Christmas Tree. Roger is also a key player on Light Up Night, as he organises the brilliant firework display.
  • Phil Hird, designer and installer of the Christmas sign.
  • Eddie Elliot-Smith, who supplies and operates the amazing big screen screen.
